Enjoyable and effective ways to develop your business, creativity or lifestyle.
Action Learning works with small groups which meet every six weeks to find solutions for problems and challenges using a discipline of open questioning and feedback. The group of five to seven people are peers, carefully matched. It’s the kind of help we just don’t get normally from colleagues, friends or family.
Coaching is also solution focussed - but on a one to one basis. Sessions can be face to face or on the phone. Coaching is not therapy. You talk, the coach listens and ask questions that help you think and discover actions. No crystals, no chanting, just clean, clear communication and enquiry.
Action Learning and coaching are both essentially future based. About identifying goals and finding the steps needed to get to them. Helping you discover what you want and how to get there. Both forms are confidential, safe and stimulating. The main difference is that coaching sessions take an hour whilst Action Learning meetings are a whole day every six weeks.

What they say:
"I am finding the Action Learning Set incredibly useful. As a freelancer, it brings other views and perspectives into my practice, stops small problems becoming big ones which get in the way of doing good work and really helps with the isolation issue."
" I find it helpful to look at an issue from a range of perspectives. Like Trinny and Suzanna and the room of mirrors only not so scary!"
"I know it sounds weird but I think of my set meetings as a bit like "Sex and the City" - Not that there's any sex or any city but there's a feeling of camaraderie that reminds me of it!"
"I really learnt a great deal, enjoyed the company immensely and it has given me much to think about. Your touch over the whole period was so appropriate every moment."
"I'm a self employed therapist and business woman - some how I juggle three occupations. Actually, I love the variety and lifestyle I have but it's really challenging when it comes to making decisions - especially when there is some disharmony between me and my colleagues or there's a particular aspect of the business that does not feel right The Action Learning group I joined was extremely helpful. It forced me into a situation where I was required to give myself some attention as well as my business. I discovered things about who I am that I had not realised before and I felt strengthened and supported to carry out difficult decisions. The meetings were confirming, stimulating and empowering and although time is short and I sometimes felt indulgent - they were worth every minute and every penny spent."
"Thanks very much for my two hours of coaching, it's been very valuable and timely. Having moved to Dorset from Cambridge just 18 months ago I've been running uphill for a while to gather information and make sense of the diverse and active arts landscape that operates within this beautiful natural environment. Being able to discuss the emerging steps of an individual project that sits in the context of everything I do, with someone who has the intelligence to make connections that I can't see is very helpful indeed."
